Detection, Identification and Monitoring Scientific Support Services for Yorkshire Fire and Rescue

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service is coordinating this regional procurement on behalf of the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Group, which includes West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, and Humberside Fire and Rescue Services. The selected supplier will provide comprehensive Detection, Identification and Monitoring (DIM) Scientific Support and Assurance Services to support chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) incident response across the region. Key service components include: 24/7 on-call scientific advice for operational incidents, Radiation Protection Advisory (RPA) services, bi-annual Analytical Skills Development and Maintenance (ASDM) assessments for staff, delivery and ongoing development of specialized training programs, and supply of CHASE kits, wet chemical detection kits, and associated consumables. This is a critical service supporting emergency response capabilities across four fire and rescue services in the Yorkshire and Humber region.
