North West HPV Primary Cervical Screening Laboratory Service

NHS England North West is seeking a laboratory service provider for HPV (Human Papillomavirus) primary cervical screening across the North West region. This is a direct award opportunity following The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, managed by North of England Commissioning Support (NECS). The service will provide cervical screening testing using HPV primary screening methodology. The contract runs for approximately 2 years 9 months, starting 1 July 2026 through 31 March 2029, with an initial term of 21 months (1 July 2026 to 31 March 2028) and an optional 1-year extension (1 April 2028 to 31 March 2029). This is an Intention to Award notice indicating the NHS's preliminary decision to award the contract.
