    Brief

Kongsberg Maritime equipment and software installation project for marine simulation facilities. This opportunity includes relocation of existing Ships Bridge Simulator and Ships Engine Room Control Room Simulator systems, installation of K-Sim Navigation and K-Sim Engine simulators with full mission and desktop configurations, and integration of supporting infrastructure. Specific deliverables include: supervision and execution of simulator dismantling and reinstallation at new facility location; K-Sim Navigation upgrade with project management, documentation, assembly, shipment, installation, and warranty; K-Sim Engine Full Mission expansion including 65-inch touch monitor, local operating stations, and software licenses; network infrastructure upgrades with three 24-port switches; audiovisual equipment installation in instructor and debrief rooms; Milestone CCTV camera system with three cameras, PoE switch, and device licenses; five floating desktop software licenses for K-Sim Engine; and site acceptance testing for all systems. Project includes software installation, operator training, and comprehensive warranty coverage. Suppliers must be familiar with Kongsberg Maritime K-Sim systems and capable of managing complex simulator relocation, integration, and testing procedures. Direct award justification: existing specialized hardware and software ecosystem is designed for K-Sim operating systems; alternative suppliers would require replacing £4-5 million of simulation suite infrastructure; extensive proprietary hydrodynamic ship models and 3D geographic databases developed over years are Kongsberg-compatible only; all historical training exercises are Kongsberg-dependent; recreating this intellectual property would require months to years of development.
