Third Sector Support Organisation Contract for Swansea

Swansea Council seeks a suitably experienced organisation to provide comprehensive support and capacity-building services for the Third Sector in Swansea. The successful service provider will operate from an accessible hub in Swansea and work in partnership with the Council and wider Third Sector to deliver the objectives of the Swansea Compact Agreement (updated 2021). Key responsibilities include: hosting a volunteer centre; providing sector-specific training and brokered programmes; undertaking needs analysis; supporting strategic partnerships; facilitating advice on funding, governance, and constitutional matters; promoting social enterprise and trading opportunities; supporting prevention and early intervention initiatives through community networks; providing comprehensive information services; identifying and mitigating risks to Third Sector organisations; and developing sustainable solutions to ensure a thriving volunteering community. The organisation must demonstrate working knowledge of the Third Sector, maintain a physical presence in Swansea, and adopt co-productive approaches in service design, delivery, monitoring and review. The service provider will jointly chair the Compact Liaison Group and develop an exit strategy for contract termination.
