    Brief

    Fairfields School in Northampton has been commissioned to deliver the High-Tech Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) service for school-age children across Northamptonshire. We are seeking qualified Speech and Language Therapists and specialist AAC organisations to join a market engagement event and support our multidisciplinary team. Opportunity Details: • 2 days per week, 40 weeks per year (term time only) • Potential contract extension based on service demand • Work with a multidisciplinary team across education, health and social care Required Qualifications and Experience: • HCPC registration and RCSLT membership (essential) • Band 6 or equivalent Speech and Language Therapist qualification with specialist AAC expertise • Experience conducting comprehensive AAC assessments and recommending devices, software and communication pathways • Ability to produce clear, evidence-based assessment reports • Experience with Therapy Outcome Measures (TOMs) and data-driven impact reporting • Track record of training and supporting professionals, families and carers • Strong organisational skills with ability to manage varied caseloads • Demonstrated person-centred approach involving children, young people and families in communication planning • Ability to motivate, engage and support young people throughout their communication journey
