Waste Collection and Recycling Services for County Wexford Civic Amenity Facilities

Wexford County Council seeks a service provider to manage waste collection, processing, and marketing of recyclable materials from four Civic Amenity sites located in Holmestown, New Ross, Enniscorthy, and Gorey. The successful tenderer will be responsible for collecting specified recyclable and waste streams (including cardboard, plastics, magazines, scrap metal, household batteries, waste oils, cooking oil, food waste, and bulky waste), excluding glass, aluminum cans, electrical goods, textiles, newspapers, and green waste which are managed under separate schemes. Key service requirements include: collection from all four sites; bulking of recyclables at a licensed or permitted facility; marketing and sale of recovered materials; haulage of residual municipal solid waste and mixed dry recyclables to designated facilities; disposal of contaminated materials; and submission of monthly electronic reports detailing tonnages by material type and site. The service provider must supply, maintain, and manage fit-for-purpose receptacles at each location, with appropriate UN markings for hazardous materials classified under ADR regulations. WCC-owned receptacles may be utilized or replaced with alternative options subject to council approval.
