Occupational Health Physician Services for City of London Corporation and Police

The City of London Corporation and City of London Police seek experienced occupational health physicians (OHP) to provide medical services on a part-time basis. The role requires 45 weeks per year at 1 day per week for the Corporation (90 days annually), plus 45 weeks at 1 day per week for the Police with up to 17 additional days for recruitment-related activities (107-124 days annually). The Corporation position requires an Associate of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (AFOM) as minimum qualification, while the Police position requires a Member of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (MFOM). Physicians will see 4-5 referral clients or up to 5 recruitment candidates per day. The contract can be delivered by one or two OHPs, with options for experienced physicians to supervise less senior colleagues. A consistent named physician is essential (maximum 2 changes per year permitted). The contract runs for 2 years with a potential 2-year extension subject to performance review. All applicants must have lived in the UK continuously for the 3 years immediately prior to commencement and be willing to undergo police vetting. Services are required on a regular, reliable basis with minimal turnover.
