Wirral Borough Council seeks qualified service providers to deliver comprehensive water hygiene monitoring and risk assessment services across its facilities. The contract covers council-owned or council-operated buildings including libraries, leisure centres, administrative offices, industrial units, and schools. Services include: initial risk assessments of water systems, monthly monitoring visits, and six-monthly servicing of thermostatic mixing valves (with 12-monthly servicing for children and young person department buildings, excluding special schools and children's centres). All work must ensure compliance with the Health and Safety Commission's Approved Code of Practice L8 on Legionnaires' Disease control and the management of Legionella bacteria in water systems, including any updates to this code during the contract period.
