Youth Health and Wellbeing Pilot Program - Tywi Taf Cluster

Hywel Dda University Health Board is commissioning a preventative health and wellbeing pilot program targeting young people across Carmarthen. The pilot primarily focuses on adolescent girls, young women, and gender-diverse individuals, addressing concerns about emotional wellbeing, body image, social media influences, anxiety, and self-esteem. The program will create safe, inclusive environments where young people develop confidence, build positive relationships, improve health literacy, and access support or signposting as needed. Secondary engagement activities for boys and young men will promote healthy relationships, mutual respect, emotional literacy, consent, and positive health behaviors. The pilot aligns with prevention, early intervention, and co-production principles while reducing health inequalities and strengthening community resilience.
