Traffic Management and Control Services for National Grid

This is an invitation to provide comprehensive traffic management, traffic control, and traffic light system hire services across National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED) and National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) operational areas throughout the UK. The successful contractor will be responsible for ensuring safe traffic flow and protection during road works and utility operations. Key Requirements: • Full compliance with New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, Traffic Management Act 2004, and Traffic Signs Manual Chapter 8 • Adherence to Safety at Street Works and Road Works Code of Practice • Compliance with permit scheme conditions and HAUC (Highway Authority and Utilities Committee) advice notes • Implementation of ARTSM (Association for Road Traffic Safety and Management) Edition 1.1 standards • Availability across all National Grid UK geographical areas with adequate resources for plant, products, design, and services • Provision of 24-hour, 365-day service capability with a guaranteed 2-hour response time and on-site arrival following notification from NGED or NGET The contractor must demonstrate the capacity to manage diverse road traffic scenarios safely and efficiently while maintaining compliance with all relevant UK traffic and safety regulations.
