Stanwick Parish Council Grounds Maintenance Services Contract

Stanwick Parish Council is seeking an experienced grounds maintenance contractor to manage and maintain all public green spaces and facilities across the parish. The service covers a wide range of sites including parks, recreation areas, public open spaces, highway verges, allotments, Stanwick Cemetery, and St Laurence Churchyard. Key responsibilities include grass cutting and edging, shrub and flower bed maintenance, hedge trimming, tree care, litter and leaf clearance, hard surface maintenance, weed control, and cemetery services such as grave digging and interments. The contractor must maintain all sites to the Council's specifications while ensuring they remain clean, safe, and well-maintained, with consideration for biodiversity and environmental sustainability. The contractor is responsible for waste removal and disposal and must comply with all relevant legislation and health and safety requirements. Tenders must include method statements addressing service delivery, environmental sustainability, staffing, and health and safety arrangements. The initial contract term is three years with a potential 12-month extension based on performance. Payment will be based on annual-priced core tasks plus additional optional works charged according to an agreed Schedule of Rates.
