Digital Warden Call System Upgrade and 36-Month Maintenance

This opportunity involves upgrading the warden call emergency communication systems across sheltered accommodation in the London Borough of Hounslow. Warden call systems enable elderly and vulnerable residents in sheltered housing to quickly contact staff and emergency services. Openreach is discontinuing analogue PSTN copper lines by 2025 as part of their digital switchover programme. The London Borough of Hounslow requires a deliverable roadmap and implementation plan to migrate all sheltered accommodation from existing PSTN analogue lines to a digital solution using Universal Digital Communicators (UDC). The UDC will ensure reliable communication between existing warden call systems and a digitally-ready alarm receiving centre. This project avoids the need for expensive full warden call system replacements across the sheltered housing stock. The contract includes 36 months of maintenance and support for both the new digital equipment and the integrated system, ensuring continuity of service and a committed supplier partnership.
