St Andrews Multi-Storey Car Park - Structural Repairs and Protective Coating Works

This is an open works contract for structural repairs to St Andrews Multi-Storey Car Park, procured under the Procurement Act 2023 and below the regulated value threshold. The project includes water ingress remedial measures, replacement of defective galvanised gutters with new PVC systems, installation of bund seals, movement joint repairs, and drainage renewal. Key works involve localised surface preparation of corroded structural steelwork followed by application of a specialist protective coating system (Macropoxy 400 Zinc Phosphate Epoxy primer with Acrolon 7300 polyurethane finish) to achieve C4 high-durability protection. Drainage and steelwork refurbishment must be delivered as a coordinated programme. All works will be sequenced level-by-level to maintain operational use of the car park during construction. Steelwork preparation and coating are recognised as specialist elements, and tenderers are encouraged to engage specialist subcontractors.
