Uplands Farming Demonstration and Monitoring Pilot Programme Services in Ireland

Wild Atlantic Nature LIFE IP is seeking a qualified service provider to deliver a one-year Upland Monitoring and Demonstration Pilot Programme focused on assessing and showcasing sustainable farming practices in upland areas. The programme will include monitoring activities, on-farm demonstrations, and knowledge transfer to support sustainable upland farming systems. With positive results, the initiative may expand to three years total. This project is funded by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) and includes Shared Island Initiative funding through the National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS). The service provider must engage closely with agriculture stakeholders in Northern Ireland to meet Shared Island Initiative objectives. The pilot will serve as a proof of concept to guide the development and scaling of a longer-term uplands farming sustainability initiative. Ideal candidates should have expertise in upland farm management, monitoring methodologies, demonstration delivery, and stakeholder engagement across both jurisdictions.
