    Brief

Cefas is seeking qualified suppliers to provide specialist marine geotechnical services for two vibracoring surveys in UK waters (Irish Sea, Firth of Clyde, or North Sea) aboard the RV Cefas Endeavour. The supplier must deliver sediment cores up to 3 meters deep from pre-planned stations to support environmental sampling programs. Key requirements include: providing a fully maintained 3-meter vibrocorer system with spares and cutting equipment suitable for 150-meter water depths; deploying four trained technicians (two per 12-hour shift) for continuous 24-hour operations; installing and function-testing equipment before surveys; maintaining equipment throughout the program; and safely demobilizing at completion. The survey is scheduled for 10-12 days between November 1-16 (with ±5 day flexibility) with mobilization from either Lowestoft or a Southwest coast port. The supplier is responsible for personnel travel and equipment transportation to/from the port, but accommodation, meals, and welfare facilities will be provided onboard. All personnel must hold valid offshore survival training (BOSIET or STCW95) and UK-approved medical certification. Work must comply with health and safety legislation, LOLER regulations, and Cefas vessel requirements. Laboratory testing and detailed data interpretation are excluded from scope.
