External Passenger Lift Installation - Somersham Parish Council

Somersham Parish Council is seeking tenders from qualified contractors to design, supply, install, and commission an external passenger lift at their office building in Somersham. This accessibility improvement project will enable wheelchair users, people with reduced mobility, parents with pushchairs, and other visitors to access the building independently and safely via an existing changing room. The successful contractor must deliver a complete turnkey solution including site survey and design, lift supply and installation, structural and electrical works, building alterations, testing, commissioning, certification, user training, and warranty documentation. The lift must comply with the Equality Act 2010, Building Regulations, and relevant British Standards. The project specifications require an external lift with an approximate platform size of 1100 x 1480 mm serving two stops. Preparatory building work will be undertaken by a separate contractor. Tender submissions must include company profile and experience, details of similar projects completed in the last five years, proposed lift manufacturer and model, outline design proposal, programme of works with anticipated duration, cost breakdown, warranty and maintenance package details, insurance evidence, Health and Safety policy, risk assessment methodology, and references from comparable public sector or community projects.
