Leashaw Landslide Stabilization and Road Repair - Phase 1

Derbyshire County Council is seeking an experienced contractor to undertake Phase 1 stabilization and reinstatement works for a significant landslide affecting the village of Holloway. A landslip and subsequent retaining wall collapse has occurred in the southeastern area, damaging the road and necessitating emergency closure. This contract involves stabilizing the landslide through earthworks reinstatement and supporting the road infrastructure. Phase 1 works include: construction of two rows of micropiles and reinforced concrete pilecap at the downslope to act as a barrier; earthworks reinstatement; construction of a concrete foundation at road level to support the masonry parapet; and provision of drainage for the earthworks with outfall to the existing watercourse. The successful contractor must have demonstrated experience in landslide repair, foundation works, and highway restoration projects. Interested contractors should be prepared to manage environmental considerations and coordinate with local authorities regarding road access and closure timelines.
