UK National Positioning, Navigation and Timing Resilience Standard

The Development of New National PNT Resilience Standards project is a three-year programme (FY 2026/27–2028/29) to design, develop and publish the UK's first formal standard for resilient Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT). This initiative aims to establish comprehensive technical and operational guidelines to ensure critical infrastructure and services can maintain accurate positioning, navigation and timing capabilities even when primary systems fail or are compromised. The project seeks suppliers and partners with expertise in PNT systems, resilience engineering, standards development and critical infrastructure protection to contribute to creating a robust framework that protects the UK's economic and national security interests.
