Specialist Corrosion Protection and Paint Testing Services for Highway Steelwork

National Highways is seeking an independent specialist supplier to provide comprehensive technical advice and testing services for paints and corrosion protection of steelwork used in highway structures across England. Services include: specialist technical consultation on paint and corrosion protection issues; on-site inspections of painted structures; paint sample collection and laboratory testing; and paint durability testing to ensure product quality. The supplier will support the maintenance of approximately 1,750 steel bridges, 3,000 steel gantry structures, and numerous minor steel structures including masts and lighting columns across the strategic road network (motorways and all-purpose trunk roads). The supplier will also provide support for new steel highway structures being constructed as part of major schemes. This is a single-supplier contract requiring expertise in corrosion management, paint systems, and highway infrastructure materials.
