    Brief

The University is expanding its electric vehicle charging infrastructure across its Egham campus to support its sustainability and carbon reduction goals. Currently, four dual-socket EV charging units are installed in Car Park 4 and are in regular use. The University now seeks to install nine additional dual-socket units across four more campus car parks to meet anticipated demand growth. The successful supplier will be responsible for the complete design, supply, installation, and ongoing maintenance of all EV charging equipment and associated electrical infrastructure. This includes commissioning the nine new units and, from September 1, 2027, managing and maintaining the existing four units to create a unified charging solution across campus. All infrastructure will be installed in University-owned private car parks at the Egham campus. The supplier may be instructed to provide additional related services, including site surveys, feasibility assessments, electrical capacity analysis, design development, installation modifications to accommodate usage changes, software and payment system upgrades, and supplementary maintenance and repair works. The contract offers the opportunity to establish a comprehensive, integrated EV charging network supporting the University's green travel initiatives.
