Secure Patient Transport Services Framework Agreement

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust established a national framework agreement in 2024 for the provision of secure patient transport services to support mental health patient requirements. This framework is available to all Relevant Authorities across England and Wales, including NHS trusts, foundation trusts, integrated care boards, local authorities, and health boards. Framework Details: - Initial term: 2 years with options to extend annually (up to 2 additional years) - Currently extended for 1 year with one further extension available - This is the second annual reopening to new applicants Annual Reopening Process: The framework reopens to new applicants approximately 90 days before each anniversary of the Framework Commencement Date. Existing suppliers are not required to reapply. Framework Terms for New Applicants: - Appointed on first anniversary: up to 3 years duration - Appointed on second anniversary: up to 2 years duration - Appointed on third anniversary: up to 1 year duration Relevant Authorities eligible to use this framework include combined authorities, integrated care boards, local authorities, NHS England, NHS foundation trusts, NHS trusts, county councils, county borough councils, local health boards, and special health authorities in England and Wales.
