GL1 Leisure Centre Design and Supply Chain Services

This contract involves completing the technical design and managing the supply chain engagement for the GL1 Leisure Centre project. The successful contractor will progress the design from RIBA Stage 3 to RIBA Stage 4 (Technical Design), leading a multidisciplinary design team including architects, structural engineers, and MEP specialists. Key responsibilities include design coordination and management, ensuring compliance with Building Regulations and Building Control requirements, and providing constructability advice. The contractor will also prepare detailed specifications and schedules, conduct value engineering to align with budget constraints, and develop Contractor's Proposals for agreement with the Employer. In addition, the contractor will engage the supply chain early to assess design feasibility and buildability, define work packages, prepare tender documentation, and manage an open book tender process for subcontractors and suppliers. This role requires close collaboration with the Project Manager, Cost Manager, design team, and Employer throughout both the design development and procurement phases.
