Child Disability Support and Short Breaks Service

Perth and Kinross Council is seeking a Care Inspectorate-registered supplier to deliver child disability support services. The service will provide short breaks and practical caring support, including personal care, to children and young people with disabilities and their parent carers in home and community settings. The supplier must adopt a trauma-informed approach that respects children's rights and places them at the centre of support planning. Key service objectives include: enabling children and young people to meaningfully participate in their communities, develop independence and life skills, and enjoy childhood activities; supporting parent carers to prevent burnout and enable children to remain with their families; and providing flexible support including evenings and weekends to meet when families need it most. Successful delivery will strengthen family wellbeing and help children achieve their full potential within their home communities.
