Domestic Housing Stock Condition Surveys for Orkney Islands Council

Orkney Islands Council is seeking a qualified consultant to conduct comprehensive Stock Condition Surveys (SCS) and Scottish Housing Quality Standard (SHQS) assessments on approximately 1,050 properties within its social rented housing portfolio. This three-year contract requires surveying roughly one-third of the stock each year to evaluate property conditions, identify maintenance needs, and ensure compliance with housing quality standards. The successful consultant will need expertise in residential property surveying, knowledge of SHQS requirements, and the capacity to manage a large-scale assessment programme across the Orkney Islands. This work will inform housing investment decisions and improvement planning for the Council's social housing stock.
