    Brief

    Limerick City and County Council and Transport Infrastructure Ireland are seeking construction contractors for the Adare to Attyflin section of the Foynes to Limerick Road project. This contract covers approximately 3.5km of new M21 motorway construction, comprising 1.5km of offline works and 2km of online works along the existing N21 national road. Key project elements include road pavement inlay works, connection and realignment of national and local roads, site clearance and demolition, installation of two VMS signage gantries, noise barriers, mammal underpasses, culverts, highway drainage systems, and attenuation ponds. The contract will be procured under NEC4 Option C terms. The completed section must be fully operational by June 2027 to support the 2027 Ryder Cup golf tournament.
