    Brief

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) is seeking a time-limited insourced pain management service for the East Integrated Health Community (EIHC). The service will provide comprehensive, evidence-based biopsychosocial treatment for approximately 350 adult patients, with the primary goal of clearing the existing backlog of patients waiting over 104 weeks by 31 March 2027. The successful provider must: mobilise within 4-6 weeks of contract award; work collaboratively with BCUHB to establish detailed monthly performance trajectories; ensure each patient completes an appropriate recorded pathway outcome (transfer, contact, or triage alone will not count as backlog clearance); and provide documentation that enables BCUHB to apply NHS Wales referral to treatment rules correctly. This is an insourcing opportunity designed to address current service capacity constraints.
