    Brief

Nottinghamshire County Council is establishing an Open Framework to commission residential care services for children with multiple and complex needs, including those displaying sexualized or harmful sexual behaviours. Services will be delivered on both a planned and emergency basis. The Council prefers providers based in Nottinghamshire to ensure coordination with local health and education services. Providers outside Nottinghamshire must be located within a 30-mile radius of the county border, except those specializing in harmful sexual behaviours services. This is a multi-provider framework agreement that may be reopened during the term to appoint additional providers competitively. The initial framework runs for 2 years (1 September 2026 to 31 August 2028), with potential for extension to a maximum of 8 years total (until 31 August 2034) through successive 2-year agreements. This framework does not cover supported accommodation services. Prospective bidders must thoroughly review all supporting tender documentation before applying.
