Nenagh Flood Relief Scheme – Engineering and Environmental Consultancy Services

Tipperary County Council, supported by a Steering Group and the Office of Public Works (OPW), is seeking a consulting firm to develop and implement a flood relief scheme for Nenagh, Ireland. The position of Nenagh was identified as an Area for Further Assessment (AFA) in the Shannon Upper and Lower River Basin Catchment Flood Risk Assessment and Management (CFRAM) Study. The selected consultant will be responsible for all engineering and environmental aspects of the project, including: identifying and designing a technically, socially, environmentally, and economically acceptable flood relief scheme; obtaining planning consent; completing detailed design; and overseeing construction procurement and management. The scheme must achieve a determined Standard of Protection to mitigate flooding risks in the community. This is a single-contract opportunity requiring one consulting firm to manage both the engineering and environmental elements specified in the tender documentation.
