Lung Cancer Screening Managed Service Provider for Somerset, Wiltshire, Avon and Gloucestershire

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a managed service provider to deliver a comprehensive Lung Cancer Screening programme across the Somerset, Wiltshire, Avon and Gloucestershire (SWAG) region. The contract will run for 36 months with options to extend for up to two additional 12-month periods (maximum 60 months total). The successful provider will deliver end-to-end services including: - Clinical and diagnostic services with qualified staff and equipped mobile screening units - IT systems and data management - Programme management, logistics, stakeholder communications and service development The screening pathway encompasses population identification, appointment scheduling, lung health checks, face-to-face clinical reviews, Low-Dose CT scanning, result reporting, multidisciplinary review meetings, result communication and follow-up surveillance. BFT is evaluating procurement routes under the Provider Selection Regime, including open market competition or competition through the NHS Shared Business Services Clinical Managed Services Framework. The accelerated timeline requires tender publication in November 2026, bid submission by end of November 2026, contract award in January 2027 and service commencement in April 2027. Prospective providers should have capacity to meet these demanding mobilisation requirements.
