Warm Homes Programme: Energy Efficiency Upgrades for Vulnerable Residents in Surrey

Surrey County Council (SCC) has secured £13.9 million in grant funding from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) through the Warm Homes - Local Grant (WHLG) programme, the successor to HUG 2. This funding is available across three financial years and supports a framework to upgrade existing residential buildings throughout Surrey. The programme prioritises improvements for vulnerable residents, including those at risk from high energy costs and poor health outcomes, currently living in substandard housing. Eligible works focus on improving energy efficiency, reducing carbon emissions, and enhancing living conditions. Suppliers and contractors are invited to participate in the framework to deliver energy-related building improvements, retrofitting, insulation, heating system upgrades, and related construction services that meet the programme's sustainability and social objectives.
