    Brief

Derbyshire Dales District Council seeks a qualified supplier to install, operate, and remove decorative outdoor lighting for the Matlock Bath Illuminations event across three years (2027-2029). The family event attracts approximately 50,000 visitors annually and runs over 8 weekends during September, October, and occasionally November, with 16 event nights each year. The supplier will be responsible for erecting and maintaining wiring, switchgear, flood lamps, and fluorescent tubes to safely illuminate natural features across three garden areas: Derwent Gardens, the Water Gardens, and Lovers' Walks. Work includes pre-event installation, nightly electrical support during the 16 event nights per year, and post-event dismantling. The initial contract runs 27 months from 16 August 2027 to 30 November 2029, with a potential two-year extension available in annual increments based on performance. Confirmed event dates will be provided each March. Suppliers should have experience with outdoor event lighting, electrical safety compliance, and managing installations across multiple seasons.
