Matrix Standard assessment and accreditation service contract

The Department for Education is seeking a provider to administer and deliver the matrix Standard, the Government's quality standard for information, advice and guidance on learning and work. This is a nationwide concession contract where the provider will manage all aspects of the Standard's operation, including: delivering assessment and accreditation services through qualified independent practitioners; maintaining the matrix Standard website and digital services; managing the practitioner register including recruitment and training; ensuring quality assurance of all assessments and certifications; providing management information and reporting; and promoting the Standard to increase awareness and uptake across England and potentially wider UK coverage. The service will support approximately 1,380 currently accredited organisations, undertaking several hundred assessments and continuous improvement checks annually. Assessments will be delivered through multiple methods including on-site, remote and hybrid approaches. The contract is funded through fees charged to organisations for assessments, continuous improvement checks, and registration fees paid by practitioners. Suppliers should have experience in quality assurance, assessment administration, digital service management, stakeholder engagement and the education or guidance sectors.
