River Kennet Fish Pass Construction Project

This is a direct award collaborative agreement with Action for the River Kennet (ARK) to design and construct a fish pass at Bracketts Hatches on the River Kennet Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). The project involves building a naturalised pool-and-traverse fish pass to improve fish migration and replacing outdated water-level control infrastructure. ARK will manage all aspects of the project including contractor selection, construction oversight, and health and safety coordination. The Environment Agency is providing £90,000 in funding for this environmental improvement initiative.
