Damp Survey and Waterproofing Services Contract

The Council has awarded a contract to Essex & Anglia Preservation Ltd for specialist damp diagnosis, surveying, and waterproofing services across its housing stock. This appointment was made due to exceptional operational circumstances and the critical need to maintain service continuity. Essex & Anglia Preservation Ltd has successfully provided these specialist services for approximately ten years, developing extensive knowledge of the Council's properties, condition issues, and internal processes. The services encompass damp and moisture-related defect diagnosis, intrusive property investigations, condition surveys, remedial work specifications, and waterproofing solutions. These highly specialist requirements fall outside the scope of standard repairs and maintenance contractors. The Council prioritises service continuity to ensure timely resolution of existing damp and water ingress cases, as changing providers would likely result in duplicate surveys, loss of property-specific knowledge, remediation delays, and tenant disruption.
