PPE Manufacturing Capacity Survey for Pandemic Preparedness

The Department of Health & Social Care (DHSC) is conducting a market engagement exercise to understand the UK's current and potential PPE manufacturing capacity. DHSC seeks to gather information from manufacturers and organisations that could rapidly scale or pivot to PPE production during a pandemic emergency. This is not a procurement exercise but a fact-finding initiative to inform future pandemic preparedness planning and policy. Respondents are asked to complete a questionnaire covering: current PPE manufacturing capabilities (products, volumes, lead times, constraints); ability to pivot to PPE manufacturing if not currently producing it; capacity surge potential during a pandemic; and previous PPE manufacturing experience. Selected respondents may be contacted for follow-up discussions or roundtable meetings to clarify their responses. Responses must be submitted by 30 June 2026 at 23:59 via the online form.
