Supervised Toothbrushing Programme Expansion for Nottingham Early Years Settings

This contract will expand the supervised toothbrushing programme across Nottingham City, aiming to reach 100% of children aged 3-5 years in early years settings, with priority given to children in the most deprived communities (IMD deprivation levels 1 and 2). The programme is an engaging, educational initiative delivered within early years settings that teaches young children proper dental hygiene using fluoride toothpaste and age-appropriate toothbrushes. Trained staff will supervise daily brushing sessions, helping children develop lifelong healthy oral habits. The successful supplier will provide fluoride toothpaste, toothbrushes, and trained delivery staff to ensure safe and effective brushing practices. This expansion requires capacity to deliver the programme across all participating early years settings, with at least one supervised brushing session per child per day during their time in the setting.
