    Brief

This opportunity supports the next phase of the Space Weather R2O2R (Research to Operations to Research) programme, building on the successful £19.9m SWIMMR initiative funded by UKRI. The Met Office Space Weather Operations Centre (MOSWOC) requires continued technical and scientific support to transition academic space weather models into operational forecast capabilities by September 2026. Key deliverables include: establishing evidence of user needs and requirements from MOSWOC and end-users; defining technical and scientific requirements for integrating models into operational settings; and supporting academic partners in onboarding their models for long-term operational use. This work is essential for moving beyond the initial 'S3' sandbox environment and portal collaboration platform towards full operational integration. The successful supplier will work closely with Met Office scientists, academic institutions, and DSIT to validate, integrate, and exploit new space weather modelling capabilities and ensure they meet operational standards.
