Dry Dock Services for NLV Pharos - 20 Year Special Survey (January-February 2027)

The Northern Lighthouse Board (NLB) is seeking a dry dock facility to conduct a comprehensive 20-year special survey of NLV Pharos, a 3,672-tonne lighthouse tender vessel (84.25m length, 16.49m breadth). The project requires approximately 4 weeks total duration with 3 weeks of active dry dock work, scheduled for late January to late February 2027 (preferred arrival 28 January, dry dock 1-23 February, departure 28 February). Required works include hull and tank inspections, ship-side valve overhauls, safety equipment and systems overhauls, full hull painting, thruster overhauls by original equipment manufacturers, electrical healthcare, and miscellaneous maintenance (engine room fan, helideck equipment, mooring equipment). The vessel must be classed with Lloyds Register. The dry dock facility must have minimum 1.5-meter blocks for safe vessel support and accommodate both NLB staff and pre-arranged external contractors. Suitable locations within the United Kingdom and Europe will be considered, with some flexibility on dates to match available dry dock capacity. Tender documents will be published on 10 August 2026 via the eSourcing portal (https://nlb.delta-esourcing.com), with submissions due by 8 September 2026 and contract award estimated for 22 September 2026.
