Cleaning Services for Shipston High School

Shipston High School is seeking a cleaning services contractor to provide fully managed cleaning across a secondary school campus of approximately 4,315 m² of floor space, plus an additional sports hall of approximately 1,175 m² (available from January 2026). The contractor will be responsible for routine cleaning over a 40-week service year, periodic cleaning, holiday and deep cleaning, high-level cleaning work, on-site supervision, provision of labour, equipment and materials, quality assurance and reporting. The school contains 58 WCs, 56 wash basins and 20 showers. Special attention is required for timber and sprung timber floors (616.6 m², 14.3% of the scope) across five areas including a sports floor and food-consumption area. Site access is not available at weekends or bank holidays. Washroom consumables can be provided by either the school or the contractor. This is a TUPE service provision change involving eight employees (seven from the outgoing contractor and one directly employed by the school); one employee is a member of the Local Government Pension Scheme with an 18.4% employer contribution rate. Evaluation will consider quality, staffing model, supervision, mobilisation and price.
