    Brief

The Environment Agency is seeking to procure two commercially available DOAS (Differential Optical Absorption Spectroscopy) instruments for measuring atmospheric ammonia (NH₃) with high sensitivity and precision. These instruments will be deployed simultaneously at two different heights above agricultural land, forests, moorland, and other semi-natural surfaces to measure vertical concentration gradients of ammonia. The measurements will enable calculation of ammonia flux between the atmosphere and land surface, supporting environmental monitoring and research objectives. Suppliers should provide instruments capable of accurate, simultaneous dual-height measurements suitable for outdoor deployment in varied terrestrial environments.
