Extension of Waterproof Garments Supply Contract

Leidos Supply Ltd (LSL) is extending contract LSL/DC/0141 for waterproof garments for 24 months to maintain continuous supply while a replacement procurement process is completed. The current supplier, Cooneen Defence Ltd, has demonstrated the capability to meet all technical requirements and delivery timelines. LSL determined that additional time is needed to complete the successor procurement and transition to a new supplier without causing operational disruption. Changing suppliers within the required timeframe would create significant risks to continuity of supply and operational support. This extension does not materially change the contract's nature or scope. The total contract value remains below the original £15 million threshold, with spending now spread over a six-year period instead of four years. The extension is authorised under Article 32 of Directive 2014/24/EC and allows LSL to maintain uninterrupted service delivery during the transition to a new contract.
