iCAN Website Network Administrator – Training and Technical Support Services

The National Museum of Ireland seeks a provider to serve as Website Network Administrator for its community archival project, iCAN, which currently operates 59 WordPress-based websites. The successful contractor will: (1) act as the primary liaison with the incumbent website supplier, monitoring and resolving performance issues across the iCAN network; (2) provide training to community volunteers on digitizing cultural heritage materials to industry standards and using the iCAN WordPress Content Management System; (3) deliver both online and in-person technical support and training sessions, primarily to older volunteers aged 60-80+ years with limited technical experience; (4) facilitate online iCAN Digital Champions sessions; and (5) support volunteer groups in developing, managing, and maintaining their community archive websites. The role operates under the direction of the iCAN Development Officer and requires delivery of services across community venues throughout Ireland, with a focus on building digital skills and enabling long-term website sustainability.
