Ireland – Qualification System for Purchase and Leasing of Buses and Coaches (Annual Readvertisement)

Bus Éireann is establishing a multi-year qualification system for the purchase and/or leasing of buses and coaches. The organization seeks low-emission and zero-emission vehicles compliant with EURO VI regulations and EPA guidelines on clean and energy-efficient road transport. This is an open qualification process where suppliers can apply to join one or more of six specialized panels: Lot 1 (Purchase Expressway Buses/Coaches), Lot 2 (Lease Expressway), Lot 3 (Purchase School Buses/Coaches), Lot 4 (Lease School Buses/Coaches), Lot 5 (Purchase City Buses), and Lot 6 (Lease City Buses). Suppliers must submit a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) demonstrating their financial and technical capacity against published selection criteria for each lot they wish to join. The qualification panel will operate for five years and is readvertised annually to allow new suppliers to apply and existing qualified suppliers to update their capabilities. Qualification does not guarantee contracts; Bus Éireann may use individual tender procedures instead.
