    Brief

Orbit is seeking to engage with providers of assistive technologies and warden call solutions ahead of a planned procurement exercise in 2026/27. This opportunity is for market engagement discussions only, not for direct contract award at this stage. Background: Orbit operates 69 schemes across the Midlands, South, and East regions using various warden call systems. Of these, 45 use older analogue systems requiring upgrades, while 24 have been upgraded to digital systems within the last 5 years. Scope: The engagement will explore potential solutions across: 24/7 emergency alarm services, 24/7 fire alarm monitoring (customer properties and communal systems), and 24/7 door entry systems. Next Steps: Following this market engagement, Orbit will conduct a Competitive Flexible Procurement under the Procurement Act 2023, commencing in Q3 2026, with contract awards expected by December 2026. New contracts will commence 1st April 2027. All formal notices will be published via the UK Government's Find a Tender Service. Key Objectives: Placing customers at the heart of service design, embedding social value into contracts, and standardising specifications for improved value for money and consistency. Participation: Interested providers must submit an expression of interest via the ProContract portal by 25th June 2026 at 12:00, followed by individual one-to-one discussions via MS Teams between 29th June and 6th July 2026.
