Linnards Lane Playing Field Path Renovation

Wincham Parish Council seeks a contractor to upgrade the path at Linnards Lane Playing Field. The project involves resurfacing and widening approximately 216 metres of existing path from 2.5 metres width, with installation of chicane fencing at the Ashgate Lane entrance. The refurbished path must be accessible to wheelchair users and people with sensory or mobility impairments, featuring firm non-slip surfaces, concrete edging, and minimal cross-fall. The contractor must temporarily remove and relocate park benches and waste bins, manage vegetation and topsoil removal (with topsoil stockpiled for reuse), ensure proper drainage, and restore damaged grass areas. Key requirements include comprehensive Health and Safety management (risk assessments, method statements, CDM compliance, welfare facilities), Environmental compliance (Waste Acceptance Criteria testing for exported materials), and Quality assurance. The project must be completed by summer 2026 and requires a detailed programme of works. Contractor responsibilities include supervising inspections, maintaining emergency access, providing temporary works security, and liaising with WPC regarding any public access restrictions during implementation.
