Electrical Safety Testing and Remedial Works Services

IDS is seeking qualified service providers to deliver a comprehensive electrical safety programme across its property portfolio. Services include: Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) on a 5-year cyclical basis with all associated remedial works (C1 and C2 faults), and Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) on a programmed basis. EICR services cover domestic (occupied and void), communal, sheltered, and commercial properties, with full inspections conducted to BS 7671 standards, including polarity, insulation resistance, earth fault loop impedance, and continuity testing. All C1 and C2 remedial works must be completed at the point of inspection to achieve a satisfactory outcome, with reports submitted electronically within 5 working days. PAT testing must be conducted in accordance with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, covering all relevant portable appliances (white goods, IT devices, plug-top appliances) with digital records and clear labelling. Contractors must demonstrate strong first-time access protocols with initial contact 60-120 days before test due dates, documented communication attempts, and escalation procedures to IDS where access cannot be gained. These services are essential to maintain safety and statutory compliance across the housing stock.
