Community Minor Surgery Service - Newham

NHS North East London is procuring a Community Minor Surgery Service in Newham to deliver minor surgical procedures in community settings as an alternative to hospital-based acute care. The service will provide enhanced minor skin procedures (incision and excision), joint injections and aspirations, and cryotherapy/cautery treatments for practices that have opted out of minor surgery services. The service will operate through integrated care pathways connecting primary care, musculoskeletal (MSK), podiatry, dermatology, and acute services to ensure patients receive treatment in the most appropriate setting. Selected colorectal, MSK-related, and podiatry procedures will be referred to specialist services as clinically appropriate. The contract is awarded via competitive tender under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) for an initial term of 2 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years. Total contract value: £1,276,812 (including extension option). This opportunity aims to reduce waiting times, improve patient access and experience, and reduce pressure on secondary care services.
