    Brief

This service provides specialist support for children and young people aged 5-18 who have experienced domestic abuse and are accessing safe accommodation (including refuge, dispersed accommodation, and second-stage housing). A full-time Domestic Abuse Prevention and Children and Young People Outreach Worker will deliver trauma-informed one-to-one support, safety planning, recovery-focused interventions, and healthy relationships education. The role includes liaising with schools and educational settings, coordinating with safeguarding teams, and partnering with housing and domestic abuse service providers. The service fulfils the Council's obligations under Part 4 of the Domestic Abuse Act 2021 and is funded through the Domestic Abuse Safe Accommodation grant. Suppliers should have expertise in childhood trauma, domestic abuse awareness, safeguarding, and evidence-based recovery approaches for young people.
