Healthy Eating Programme Provider for Schools and Early Years Settings in Wiltshire

Wiltshire Council is seeking a single provider to deliver a comprehensive healthy eating and lifestyle programme across educational settings for children aged 2–11, including mainstream primary schools, nurseries, pre-schools, SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) settings, and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) resource bases. The provider will empower settings to create health-promoting environments through multiple evidence-based interventions including: staff training on nutrition and healthy practices, food policy development, pupil nutrition education, cooking skills development, parent and family engagement activities, and environmental modifications that encourage healthier food choices. The initial contract runs for two years with the option to extend for a further two years. Key outcomes include embedding sustainable healthy eating practices across settings, reducing health inequalities, improving fruit and vegetable consumption among children, and supporting the prevention of childhood overweight and obesity. The provider should have demonstrable experience in school and early years settings, knowledge of health promotion and behaviour change, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
