AI Ambient Voice Scribing Supplier Registry for NHS Health and Care Settings

NHS England is building a supplier registry for AI-enabled ambient scribing products (solutions that capture clinical conversations and automatically generate clinical documentation) to be used in health and care settings. This is not a procurement itself, but a transparent, centralised platform where suppliers can self-declare compliance with NHS standards to help NHS organisations (GP practices, Integrated Care Boards, and hospital trusts) make informed purchasing decisions. To be included, suppliers must: hold Class 1 Medical Device Accreditation, pass a current DTAC (Data and Technology Assessment Criteria) assessment, demonstrate proven impact and benefit in NHS settings, show experience delivering ambient voice technology in healthcare, and confirm their solution integrates with existing NHS digital systems and can scale across different organisations. Suppliers must also provide a performance and monitoring response document, pricing information, and a video demonstrating their product's capabilities. Solutions may include ambient voice capture, real-time speech-to-text, AI summarisation, automated coding suggestions, clinical template population, and integration with Electronic Patient Records (EPR). The registry remains open for ongoing submissions, with applications reviewed in order of receipt. NHS buyers will use this registry as part of their local due diligence and procurement planning.
